24 May Three Serbian universities take part in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration

Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot – three universities from Serbia took part, and participated in 21st edition of the famous moor court in Vienna. Students of faculties of law of the University of Belgrade, University of Novi Sad and University of Niš tested their knowledge of international sale of goods and international commercial arbitration in front of renowned arbitration experts, competing against other law students coming from over 290 universities from around the world. The final rounds of the competition took place in Vienna, between 10 and 18 April 2014.
Serbian law students have been achieving excellent result in various moot court competition in Europe and the world in the past. This year’s participation and the success of teams coming from Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš confirms not only increased interest in arbitration and ADR in Serbia, but also a high quality of legal education offered locally in the field of arbitration. In addition to the final rounds held in Austria, all three teams from Serbia had a chance to test their advocacy skills in the training simulations organized within the Belgrade Open Pre Moot, a week before the final competition in Vienna.
