21 May Co-Chairs’ Circle in Rome
Under 40 Section of the Arbitration Association has joined the Co-Chairs’ Circle this May at the annual meeting held in Rome, upon decision of the Board of this informal group. The Co-Chairs’ Circle is an informal platform for the exchange between young arbitration practitioner groups. Given the continued proliferation of young arbitration practitioner groups, it was time to create an informal platform for Co-Chairs across the organizations to meet and exchange ideas about topics they consider relevant, to jointly reflect on current trends and to team up in order to have a stronger impact as the young voice of the international community. Currently, over 30 young arbitration practitioner groups participate in the Co-Chairs’ Circle.
Our Association was represented at this meeting by Dr. Milena Đorđević, member of the Board and Mr. Dragan Psodorov, the representatives of under 40 Section. There, they presented the activities of our Association and informed the members of the other under-40 groups of the possibilities of our future cooperation. By joining this club of organizations of young practitioners, our association shall have the opportunity to further promote arbitration in Serbia, by organizing joint events with other organizations and also our members shall have the opportunity to participate at events organized by other institutions. The next event which might be of interest for the under 45 members of the Arbitration Association will be held this July in Berlin. For more information see
The Co-Chairs meeting was preceded by the Third Co-Chairs’ Circle Global Conference which gathered over 200 young arbitration practitioners (see Program), where Dr. Milena Đorđević participated as a panelist on “The Arbitrators of Tomorrow” panel. The key note speaker at the Conference was Mr. Alexis Mourre, president of the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
