15 Oct Promotion of Belgrade Arbitration Center in Foreign Investors Council
Board for Promotion of Arbitration Among In-House Counsel of the Arbitration Association has, in cooperation with the Foreign Investors Council, on 10 October 2019 organized a seminar on advantages of dispute resolution via arbitration as opposed to litigation.
Ms. Tijana Lalić and Mr. Djordje Novčić, attorneys-at-law, members of the Board, have discussed the important issues regarding formulation of dispute resolution policy in economy with the seminar participants. They have pointed out to advantages of arbitration both on the level of competence of arbitrators and on the level of efficiency of proceedings and costs. They have also pointed out to the provisions of the BAC Rules and shared their experience in its application so far. At the end of the seminar, Ms. Lalić and Mr. Novčić have provided the seminar participants with practical tips on how to draft arbitration agreements.
Seminar participants were representatives from legal departments of banks and companies from the telecommunications and infrastructure sectors, as well as attorneys interested in representation in arbitration.
